My name is Katie Kirk. I am the owner of Baroque Botanicals, a floral design studio born from my garden. I knew I wanted to grow flowers long before I knew I wanted to design with them. The design part followed quickly thereafter and has been a constant force ever since.

I hold a degree in fine art with an emphasis in studio practices. This foundation has largely influenced how I address elements of design and served as a guiding principle throughout my work. There is a beautiful crossover between fine art and floral artistry, an area I have been delighted to explore.

I aim to create living art through using floral forms and botanical elements. Baroque Botanicals creates designs that feel meaningful. They are thoughtfully curated. Embrace elegance and drama. Invoke feeling and highlight local seasonality. My inspiration is pulled from the observation of nature, lived experiences, influences from global art & culture, and my home along the pacific north coast.

At the core of Baroque Botanicals is a focus on sustainability. This focus is paramount as I strongly believe in using sustainable practices and sourcing from local farms whenever possible.

Working with flowers has brought me some of the greatest joy and fulfillment. I view this work as a vessel for forming connection and creating meaningful opportunities. I hope we get to work together soon.
